Progress Report
restoration crew

Greetings to our dedicated volunteers.  We have had
some great work parties in the West Duwamish
Greenbelt over the last few months and we have really made progress on removing truckloads of invasive species, especially English Ivy, Scotch Broom and the
ever present Himalayan Blackberry.  We are now moving into the planting season and will be planting a wide
range of native understory and conifers.  I’ve seen a real transformation in the greenbelt over the last year and a
half and it is very rewarding to see all the work that has been accomplished.  We will continue to work on the
areas near the Highland Park Way entrance and at 14th Ave. SW & SW Holly Streets.  I’ll see you out in the greenbelt!
