Nature Consortium is proud to introduce a new 6-week class series. Small individualized classes are taught by professional artists that provide expert instruction. Lively discussions and friendly critiques are done at each session. If you want to explore your creative side, here is your chance. The classes are structured in such a way that no art experience is required although people with art experience are also equally welcome. All supplies are included.
Create a Mosaic Coffee Table Top
You will learn all of the basics to get you on your way to mastering the mosaic technique. Design, composition, materials, substrates & adhesives, cutting & laying, and grouting will all be covered. At the end of the class you get to take your coffee table mosaic art piece that you are sure to be proud of.
This class takes place every Monday from 6-7:30pm beginning on the 25th of January and ending February 29th.
Painting Techniques in Acrylic and Watercolor
Several techniques of painting in two media Acrylics and Watercolor are taught. This class will deal with form, color, line, and texture. Through the use of imagination and instruction, participants will interpret and express the painter’s world in a water color and acrylics. At the end of the class, you will have painted two artworks on canvas, ready to hang on your walls at home.
This class takes place every Tuesday from 6-7:30pm starting the January 26th and ending March 1st at the Nature Consortium Studio in Youngstown Cultural Arts Center (4408 Delridge Way SW in West Seattle.
