Youth Art Program Winter 2007 Update
POWERFUL LEARNING through the arts 2007 Video Clip
Arts Education Consortium: The Nature Consortium is one of seven Seattle youth arts education organizations collaborating to improve program quality by sharing practices in arts education, evaluation tools and professional development opportunities for professional teaching artists. Together we’ve discovered and documented the dynamic capacity of arts education to engage diverse learners in creative habits of mind. Please take a moment to be inspired by viewing a short sneak peek of The Arts Education Consortium’s “Powerful Learning through the arts 2007” video; a compelling and relevant tool for organizations and individuals advocating for the value of youth arts education. Complete copies will be made available soon, accompanied by community dialogue and local screenings. The Arts Education Consortium is funded by generous grants from the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
